I’m surprised it took me so long to make it out to Barclays Center for a basketball game, but I’m not surprised that it was a New York Liberty game (and not the Brooklyn Nets, though I am a fan of both). I should also not have been as surprised as I was that Barclays Center had quite a few decent vegan-friendly concession options, which I discovered when I was doing research and trying to figure out if I had to eat before or after. Though you can’t find menus online, I appreciated that their digital menus inside the arena had their food options clearly labeled. Those made it infinitely easier to navigate the lines and crowds to find what we were looking for. But don’t worry, I’ve listed out the vegan-friendly options at Barclays Center below to make it even easier:
Miznon (Section 22)
According to their website, Miznon has vegan options and though I can’t speak to what the actual vegan-friendly options are, I’d imagine that it’s similar to their offerings at the US Open (which were a new addition this year!). Their full menu has vegan-friendly options, but at the US Open, their hummus and falafel plate was vegan-friendly, and the green beans might have been as well. So if those options are available, dig in!

Nene’s Taqueria (Section 7)
As one of the only substantiative options that were available at the time, my best friends graciously waited in line at halftime to get these vegan mushroom tacos for me, and I am so glad they did. They were a pretty decent option that came with a green salsa and lime wedges, so I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a quick, but delicious bite.
Paisanos Burger (Sections 1, 29, 210 & 222)
If you’re looking for game day snacks, the popcorn and Bavarian pretzel are labeled vegan-friendly. It’s easy to assume they might be, but it’s certainly nice to have confirmation. Paisanos also has a Beyond Burger available, but it’s not labeled vegan or vegetarian-friendly, so you can certainly take a chance on it or inquire further.
Table 87 Coal Oven Pizza (Section 206)
Though they were closed when we went last month, Table 87 Coal Oven Pizza might have a vegan-friendly pizza option (they’re labeled as having vegan options on the website, but I’m not quite sure what that entails). If you do happen to spot the menu, please send it my way.
Brooklyn Snacks (Section 223)
For more game day snacks, Brooklyn Snacks also has vegan-friendly popcorn, Bavarian pretzel and fries. My friends and I split the popcorn bucket (it was LARGE), and it was great as far as popcorn goes (similar to movie theatre popcorn).
Buffalo Boss (Section 226)
If you’re closer to Section 226 in the upper level, you can also check out Buffalo Boss for vegan-friendly fries and a soft pretzel. I appreciate that the fries are labeled vegan-friendly, which would indicate that they’re fried separately from any non-vegan products.
There you have it, this is my current list of vegan food options at Barclays Center. Have you been to a basketball game or a concert at this venue? Let me know your favorite vegan-friendly option in the comments below! You can also check out a full list of their concessions here.
